Case Study: Arizona Permaculture

This recent case study for Arizona takes me to a climate and environment very different to my own. The major challenges tackled in this design relate of course to water, and intense summer heat. My design seeks to work with the existing, while offering solutions for all the family who live here’s requirements and desires.

I won’t share all the specifics here – largely because it has been a very long day. Though of course I have provided much more information about the above concept plan, including full planting plans, to the client. But I am glad to be able to share it will you. Our power was off for a few hours yesterday evening with Storm Arwen.

Fortunately, there has not been any damage or anything here, and we were very lucky to have our power restored today – as I understand there are a lot of people still waiting to be reconnected.

We’ve had a long and rather cold day painting what will be our bedroom in our barn renovation project, listening to the winds whistling outside. It could not feel much further removed from the situation explored in this case study!

As usual, if you would be interested in learning more about this design, or would like your own design, I would love to hear from you.
