Today, my husband and I are heading off for a trip from our home here in Fife, Scotland to a different part of Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway (where my family come from on my Dad’s side). We will be staying in a Shepherd’s Hut in a tranquil location close to the dark skies area of Galloway Forest Park and enjoying some walks and relaxation around that area.
We’re taking our dog with us and will be walking around the forest park, visiting beaches around the nearby coasts, and generally exploring a little around this area – with any luck seeing red kites, red deer, red squirrels and more and seeing some beautiful autumn colour.
I am going to cue up some posts ahead of time to publish while we are away, since I do not plan on taking my laptop with me. We will be spending some time away from screens and making sure that we can really immerse ourselves in nature and slow down for a few days. This is our first trip away in over a year, so we are really looking forward to it.
I will be getting back on Sunday, so while there will still be posts to read, I will not be able to respond to anyone who gets in touch before next Monday. But if you are interested in a permaculture design or some consultancy, please do feel free to send me a message, and I will get back to you next week.
I also hope to share a few pictures of our trip and our walks in this beautiful area once we return. So more on this in due course… in the meantime, I will share some more tips and thoughts with you over the next few days.
Sounds lovely, enjoy!
