A Sunny Day in the Forest Garden

It’s been a beautiful and rather warm weekend here, and things are growing apace after the cold snap we had earlier in the month. Blossoms and blooms that have just opened, or which are just about to open, tell of promise for the months to come. I thought some of you might enjoy seeing some of the pictures I took yesterday as I did some work and picked some greens in the forest garden.

Plum blossom. Apple blossom will also come out very soon.
Red currant with abundant flowers.
One of my gooseberry bushes with fruits just beginning to form.
Mahonia berries.
Japanese quince just about to flower.

… Just some of the promising signs of edible crops that we will enjoy later in the year.
