Design work goes wrong in predictable ways: it starts before anyone has properly looked at the site, or it produces something beautiful that nobody can afford to build or maintain. The process below exists to avoid both.
Every stage ends with something you can hold and a decision you can make. You are never committed to the next stage until you have seen the one before it.
How it works
From first conversation to a plan you can build.
Land Strategy Session
A focused online consultation. We discuss the site, your goals, and whether design work is the right next step at all.
Scope & proposal
I review the site in more detail, working from survey data, imagery and your questionnaire, then give you a clear, fixed quotation with defined deliverables.
Concept design
A high-level plan setting the overall layout, zoning and approach: where things go, and why they go there.
Refinement
We review the concept together and revise it against your feedback, budget and appetite for maintenance.
Final design & report
A detailed planting plan, full plant schedule and supporting documentation. Implementation planning, mood boards and additional visualisations are available as add-ons.
